Context
George Tice photographed the Olson House twenty years before it came to be part of the Farnsworth. He wrote that it reminded him of a hallowed shrine. “And a shrine it may be, judging by the awed and worshipful looks of the visitors I find there. A first view of the Olson House is startling. It’s there, you say to yourself, and it’s real—real enough to make you search the field for Christina half twisted in the tall grass of the field.”
